Over time, a client may move, change his phone number or switch jobs. By keeping your address book organized and up to date, you maintain connections with clients and run an efficient business. One of the major benefits of keeping a business contact list on your iPod Touch is the ability to freely edit, add or delete information without having to use a computer application, such as iTunes. When editing a contact’s information, use the Notes field to describe your connection with specific clients. Using notes can help you maintain a friendly and professional relationship a client.
Tap the Contacts icon on the iPod Touch home screen.
Scroll through the list and choose a contact by tapping on a name.
Tap the “Edit” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Tap the “Company” field to make changes to the contact’s place of employment. Tap on any of the other fields to edit information such as the contact’s name, address, phone number, email address and website URL.
Tap the contact’s picture if you want to select a new photo. Choose any photo stored on the iPod Touch or take a picture with the device’s camera.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap “Add Field” to add additional information for the contact. You can add a variety of fields, including the person’s job title, department, birthday, nickname and Twitter username. Use the Notes field to keep track of your connection with the contact. Tap "Done" to exit the screen.
Open the iPod Touch Contacts app.
Select the person you want to delete from your contacts list by tapping on his name.
Tap "Edit" in the upper right corner of the screen.
Scroll to the bottom of the contact’s information screen. Tap the red “Delete Contact” button and confirm the deletion in the pop-up screen to remove the contact from the device.
Add New Contacts
Tap Contacts on the iPod Touch home screen.
Tap the “+” icon in the upper right corner of the screen to add a new contact.
Enter the person’s first and last name, company name, phone number and email address.
Tap “Add Field” to include additional information such as the contact’s job title and department.
Tap “Add Photo” to add a picture of the contact. Select an image stored on the iPod Touch or use the device’s camera to take a photo.
