How to Print Text Messages From an HTC Touch Phone Onto a Printer

by Travis Meyer

The HTC Touch smart phone, which runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, may have the technical specifications for printing text messages, but it doesn't have native application support for the process. The solution is the third-party application ActivePrint, which supports the wireless printing of emails, photos, documents and, most importantly, text messages. Use ActivePrint to send your text messages to your printer using the HTC Touch's Bluetooth connection.

Download the free trial version of ActivePrint (see Resources). Save the file to your desktop.

Connect your HTC Touch to your computer using the device's USB cable. Allow the device to automatically launch the Windows Mobile Device Center. If the program doesn't automatically launch, click the Start menu orb, open "Program Files" and click "Windows Mobile Device Center."

Double-click the ActivePrint file you downloaded to your desktop. Follow the prompts provided by the installation wizard, agree to the terms of use and confirm the installation.

Disconnect your HTC Touch from the computer when the file has finished installing. Open ActivePrint from the "Program Files" menu. Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled printer.

Tap the text message conversation you would like to print and click "Send to Printer." The app will search for your printer. Select your printer from the list and tap "OK" to print the text messages.
