When you install free open source software such as Vuze, you sometimes end up with extra applications you don't want. A Vuze update may have added a Bing toolbar to your Firefox Web browser window, for example. You can remove the toolbar from Firefox using the Add-ons Manager. If you are unsuccessful removing it this way, you can uninstall the Bing toolbar from your computer completely using the Windows Control Panel.

Firefox Add-ons Manager

Start Firefox. Click the orange "Firefox" button and choose "Add-ons" to open the Add-ons Manager tab.

Click the "Remove" button next to the Bing toolbar extension.

Click "Restart Now." Firefox closes and restarts with the toolbar removed.

Uninstall the Bing Toolbar

Right-click the lower-left corner of your computer screen and select "Control Panel."

Choose "Uninstall a Program" under Programs in the Control Panel window.

Select "Bing Bar" or "Bing Toolbar" in the list of currently installed programs. Click "Uninstall."

Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to uninstall the toolbar. Restart your computer when the uninstallation is finished.
