You can configure your web browser to open your favorite website whenever you start up the program. This is known as a homepage, and can be any website of your liking, be it a news source, your web-based email service or one of Verizon's web pages. As of June 2011, Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox are the two most popular available web browsers. Resetting IE and Firefox to open a Verizon page is a simple process.

Internet Explorer

Click "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of the IE window. This opens a drop-down menu.

Click "Internet Options" in the drop-down menu. The Internet Options window appears.

Type your Verizon URL of choice in the "Home page" field. You can enter Verizon's official website, MyVerizon.com, Verizon Wireless or another page. Additional Verizon web pages are listed in the Resources section below.

Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window to apply your changes, and press the "OK" button to close the window.

Firefox

Click "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of the Firefox window. A drop-down menu appears.

Click "Options" in the drop-down menu. The Options window appears.

Click the "General" tab if it's not already selected.

Type your Verizon URL in the "Home page" field.

Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the Options window to apply your changes and close the window.
