Important files such as business documents, memos and sales orders can be transferred to the SD card on your Samsung Galaxy device. The device offers the ability to enable mass storage capabilities, which allows for the quick transfer or copying of files. When you connect your Galaxy device to your computer to complete a transfer, the original file remains on the computer while a copy is saved to your device.
Press the “Menu” key on your Samsung Galaxy device while viewing the Home screen.
Tap “Settings,” then tap “Wireless and Network.”
Touch “USB Settings,” then touch “Mass Storage” to enable the device's mass storage capabilities.
Connect your Galaxy device to the computer with a USB cable. When the computer recognizes your device, a window with options to manage its files will open.
Click “Open Folder to View Files” to see the files currently stored on your Galaxy's SD card. Files such as your music, videos and pictures are stored on the card.
Double-click the folder in which you want to store transferred files from your computer. Open the computer folder containing the files to be transferred.
Drag the files from the computer's folder to the open folder for the Galaxy. Release or drop the file into the folder to transfer it to your Galaxy. Drag and release the additional files.
Slide down the Notifications panel at the top of your device's screen and touch “Turn Off” next to the USB Mass Storage prompt. Disconnect the device from the computer.
